Info

You will receive a warm welcome at the Cochin Airport or Railway Station. From there, we will head to your hotel in Cochin. After you check in and freshen up, we will take you to see around the prominent tourist spots in the city and towns nearby. After a good night rest in your hotel at Cochin, you can get ready the next morning for a long drive to Munnar.

En route the long drive to Munnar, you will be able to catch some spectacular views. You will spend the next two nights in a beautiful resort in Munnar. During the day, we will explore the hill station by visiting some of its most important tourist attractions and you can take part in some relaxing activities too.

On the fourth day, we will head to the pleasant town of Thekkady where we will take you to a popular boat ride in the Periyar Lake, an elephant ride and some other sightseeing spots depending on the time we have. You will spend the night in a scenic resort with a serene natural ambience.

On the fifth day, we will head to Kumarakom where you will enjoy a wonderful stay in the Vemabanad Lake Villas. We will take you around the serene village where you can enjoy glimpses of a typical village life and get to know the cheerful people living there. You will also get to try the unique and popular Shikkara cruise and visit the famous bird sanctuary.

The next morning, after checking out of the villa, we will head to Cochin where you could do some shopping or sightseeing depending on your flight/train timings. We will drop you at the airport or railway station at a time convenient for you.

Note: During the monsoon, it is recommended that travelers avoid beaches. Since the current is too strong, swimming is prohibited at the beach. And sometimes, just visiting the beach is too dangerous. So many beaches are closed. You must also avoid activities like bird watching, photography walks and cycling tours during the monsoon.

What to wear during the monsoon

It is better to wear light clothes because even if they get wet, you can dry them easily. Avoid jeans and thick shirts or T-shirts. Also avoid expensive footwear as the rains can spoil them. Instead, use plastic or rubber footwear. Carry rain coats or umbrellas wherever you go.

Editor's Review

The tour plan is designed to help you experience the best of God's own country at a leisurely pace. The resort in Munnar, located inside a picturesque forest, exhibits nature's awe-inspiring beauty. Coffee Routes Resort in Thekkady offers a pleasant environment and hence proves to be an ideal getaway with its elegantly designed spacious rooms. The villas of Kumarakom located right next to the backwaters offer you more than you can ever ask for.

During this memorable trip, you will visit the evergreen hill station of Munnar and be delighted by the sights of sprawling tea plantations. The chirping of exotic birds in the wild yet pleasant environment of Thekkady connects you to the natural world in a very special way.

As you walk through the scenic villages of Kumarakom and experience the unique Shikkara cruise, you can be sure that memories that will last for lifetime are being created. The adventurous boat rides, spellbinding viewpoints and historic sightseeing locations will ensure that you will remember this holiday for a long time.
