Backwater Breeze is an ideal backwater located in the scenic village of Kumarakom. It is situated close to the Vembanad Lake. A gentle breeze keeps flowing in the area and waves are quite common in the lake. On one side of the property is the huge and serene lake and on the other side are beautiful paddy fields. Guests can choose to stay in the backwaters-facing rooms of the homestay or the houseboats.

The food at the restaurant is quite good. The rooms are standard with basic amenities and you cannot expect much luxury in them.
Backwater Breeze is a pleasant mix of a resort and a homestay, being both private and homely. A family of four serve as hosts at the home situated in their ancestral property which has been a legacy of the family for more than 200 years. The picturesque charm of the surroundings is what made them consider the concept of making this a homestay. Although the village has changed so much in recent years, but the rustic environment hasn't changed at all.
Guests at Backwater Breeze can choose to stay in one of the rooms or in the houseboat. They can also choose both if they're planning for a longer stay. All the rooms in the homestay face the serene backwaters and the only thing between the rooms and the lake is gentle breeze. So the rooms offer tranquil views of the backwaters. They are built in traditional Kerala style and have all the necessary amenities. The restaurant near the homestay serves great seafood. Behind the homestay is a large paddy field that turns into a fish farm in particular seasons.
