Thattekkad Birds Song Homestay is a simple and lovely accommodation facility located about 200 m inside the main gate of Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary in Thattekkad. This world famous sanctuary is home to several species of exotic colourful birds including the rare ones like Malabar grey hornbill, flame-throated Bulbul, grey headed bulbul, Ceylon frogmouth and many more. The homestay has two spacious and comfortable guest rooms on the first floor that have a wide common veranda overlooking not just the forest but also the beautiful countryside. The veranda itself offers pleasant sights of many birds. Even some of the rare birds fly into the garden at the homestay. The hosts, Vinod and Sini, stay along with their parents on the ground floor of the house. Mr. Vinod is an experienced bird watcher who can guide guests through the sanctuary.
Each of the two rooms in the homestay is suitabe for two persons. They have attached bathrooms and share a wide veranda that overlooks the forest.
