The heritage plantation retreat called Urumbi Hill Palace is nestled amidst the Urumbi Hills. The hills are somewhere between Vagamon and Kuttikanam in Kerala. The place is far removed from the bustling noises and pollution. At an altitude of 3500 ft above sea level, the Urumbi Hill Palace has plantations, scenic landscapes and exotic flora and fauna surrounding it. The retreat has three categories of rooms namely Suites, Deluxe and Standard.

The rooms are a little rustic and spacious. But you can’t expect them to be very well-kept and also you cannot expect top-class services and professional hospitality.
Urumbi Hill Palace is a beautiful plantation stay that has natural beauty all around it. Nestled among the hills at an altitude of 3500 ft above sea level, the retreat not only offers a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere but also some splendid views. Mountain slopes, tea and cardamom plantations, scenic landscape and the colourful flora and fauna are what make the place extremely alluring. There is a natural spring nearby where you can take a bath. From a view point near the retreat, you can actually see Cochin, Allepey and Quilon.
Urumbi Hill Palace was built by the British in colonial-style. There are three categories of rooms in the retreat namely suites, deluxe rooms and standard rooms. They are tastefully furnished with modern amenities but they still preserve the old world charm. They are ideal for a plantation stay and have good ventilation along with a beautiful enveloping garden. The rooms also have a fireplace which is pretty much expected from a bungalow built by the British.
The suites are the highest category rooms in the plantation retreat. They are spacious and well-furnished. They are suitable for five persons. A fireplace is also present.
