Windermere estate is primarily a place for relaxation. It is surrounded by plantations and gardens with hammocks and garden chairs that provide you a sense of tranquillity and peace. The nature of the estate is rustic, yet comfortable. The restaurant has a set menu. So you cannot order any food that you want. The plantation walk and the tea museum are the highlights of this place. Foreign tourists might find this place hot and humid. There is no AC in any room.

Windermere Retreat has richly luxurious accommodation. The rooms have comfortable wooden beds made from teak and maple wood. The settings around the room are hand embroidered to spark up the place. The kitchen waits to surprise you with culinary delights and promises to give you a unique dining experience. The dining area is built with rustic nature that strives to combine simplicity and luxury.

The Windermere estate includes an attractive 55-acre cardamom and coffee plantation. You will also find pepper trees in the estate. The sight of squirrels moving around the place is a delight to watch. There are garden chairs and hammocks around the place for hardcore readers. Make sure you carry your binoculars to the view point. Here, you experience being on the edge of the world.

2. Alcohol is not served at Windermere. You can bring your own alcohol.

Rooms Types

Garden Room

Garden rooms are about 350 sq. ft. and they enjoy the luxury of a veranda with either a view of the valley or the garden. Suitable for two adults. No extra beds are provided.

Estate Room

The estate rooms are 700 sq. ft. large with balcony. The rooms are in three styles and they all have large windows making them bright and airy. Also provided is a day bed by the window which is a perfect spot to lazy it out with a book in hand. Suitable for two adults.

Planters Room

The planters room have 1,200 sq. ft. indoor space. The rooms have wooden flooring, an area to sit, spacious bathrooms and huge windows for the amazing view of the mountains that surround the estate. It also has a fireplace. Suitable for two adults.
