The Cochin Cultural Centre displays professional Kathakali performances. The main artists are really good actors, who add to the professionalism of the show. Although the make-up demonstrations are too elaborate, you might find it interesting if you're an art enthusiast.

PROS

  • The main performing artists are well-trained.
  • During the show, many good pictures can be taken,
  • English hand-outs are given before the start of the program.

CONS

  • Bit difficult to follow the act, if you are not familiar with the legends being played on stage.
  • Elaborate make-up sessions could be boring if you are not an art enthusiast.
