By Air

By Train

Pondicherry Railway Station is connected to Chennai, Bangalore and Bhubaneswar. Two passenger trains go to Chennai every day. There is one train travelling once every week from and to Bangalore. There is one travelling from and to Bhubaneswar every week.

By Road

A road travel from Chennai gets you faster to Pondicherry than a train ride. You can hire a cab or take a bus from CMBT at Chennai. Pondicherry connects to the GST or NH - 45 in two places i.e. at Villupuram by NH-45A and at Tindivanam by NH-66. From Bangalore, you must take NH-7 and NH-66 to reach Pondicherry.
