The Briar Tea Bungalows in Meghamalai are divided into three types of bungalows. They are (1) Cloud Mountain Bungalow, (2) Manallar Cottage and (3) Sand River Cottage. All the bungalows provide stunning views of the tea plantations, lake and valleys in Meghamalai. The area around the bungalows provides great opportunities for plantation walks, bird watching and photography. Around the bungalows, guests can relish the amazingly pleasant musical whistle of the birds along with the early morning breeze.
Meghamalai has a scenic lake network, about 7 square kilometres in area that winds through the valleys of the grassy hills adorning the plantation. Until you reach the tea estates, you will only find reserve forests on all sides with very little human interference. The place got the name ‘Highwavys’ because of its wavy landscape. The tea bungalows provide an ideal plantation stay, especially for nature enthusiasts who will certainly enjoy the well-preserved wildlife of Meghamalai.
The Cloud Mountain Bungalow has a large living room, 3 spacious bedrooms, a dining room and a small library. The rooms also have lovely fireplaces.The bungalow is surrounded by serene plantations.
Manallar Cottage has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a dining room. It is located on the banks of the reservoir. Located in a quiet and peaceful area, the cottage offers a beautiful view of the lake.
Sand River Cottage has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a dining room. The cottage has well-appointed spacious bathrooms and a well maintained garden.
