The Briar Tea Bungalows in Valparai have four types of bungalows. They are Sirukundra Bungalow, Monica Garden Bungalow, Stanmore Garden Bungalow and Puthuthottam Annexe. The bungalows have unique wildlife, camping, plantation or botanical themes. The bungalows have well-equipped large tents and beautifully designed wooden chalets. The Wooden Chalets have amazing views of the wooded land and rare birds from their balconies.
The surroundings of the bungalows provide excellent opportunities for trekking, cycling, long walks and wildlife photography. Some of the bungalows have a nice swimming pool close-by. A tea factory is also present near the bungalow that can be visited by tourists. All Briar Tea Bungalow compounds are safely and thoroughly secured with an electric fence. They also have automated early warning systems to guard guests from wild animals.
The Sirukundra Bungalow has three large bedrooms and attached bathrooms. It is beautifully furnished with antique furniture. It has a large lawn and plenty of tall trees. There are fireplaces in all the rooms. The vicinity of the bungalow has a botanical theme. There are plenty of rare flowers, butterflies and a number of birds in the lush surroundings.
The Monica Garden Bungalow, with a total area of 4500 sq. ft., has 3 bedrooms with functional fireplaces, an elegantly furnished drawing room and dining room. It has a well maintained flower garden in an attractive and spacious compound.
The Stanmore Garden Bungalow has 6000 sq. ft. of indoor space. It has four spacious bedrooms with elegant decors and fireplaces along with a superbly furnished living room, dining room and a fully fledged kitchen. From the Stanmore compound you can have a spectacular 360 degree view of the tea plantation and the surrounding hills. The Bungalow has seven Wooden Chalets in the compound.
The Puthuthottam Annexe has 2 bedrooms, a dining room, a sitting room and a small kitchen. The entire area surrounding the Annexe has a thich growth of tall trees offering an excellent terrain for challenging long walks and serious wildlife photography.
Wooden Chalets are comfortably placed within the bungalow compounds. The Chalets have an area of 430 square feet. The balconies of these Chalets overlook a magnificent scenery. They are suitable for three people.
The tents come with 220 sq.ft of space and a spacious room with a well-appointed bathroom. The areas surrounding the tents offer excellent possibilities for long walks, bicycling and wildlife photography. The tents of Monica have access to a large Barbeque pit. They are suitable for two people.
