Set amidst an amazing landscape of Thekkady, the Green Park Ayurvedic & Spice Plantation is an ecological park with so much of nature within. This park is 100 percent eco-friendly and has honey bee colonies, natural fish aquarium, artificial paddy field, suspension bridge, fruit plantation etc. The spot is a kingdom of nature and here travellers would feel the freshness of life along with the passage of time.

Green Park gives tourist a chance to spend some time in the vicinity of nature and learn about different kinds of Ayurvedic plants and spice plantation. Traditionally built tree houses in the perfect wooden ambience give an unbeatable experience to the tourists. Here you would have plenty of opportunities to pose in front of the largest suspension bridge. It is the largest suspension bridge in private sector which is around 200 meters long and 20 feet tall. Tree houses are the unique identity of Green Park.

Attractions of the Park

Tree House: The tree houses in Green Park are referred as ‘Erumadam’ in the local dialect. These houses are constructed using eco-friendly materials such as hay, coir, bamboo and wood etc. These houses are built almost 20 ft above the land and a suspension bridge are constructed to reach these houses.

The spice garden: The spice garden in Green Park houses a numerous varieties of spices and is an interesting place for visitors who are ardent lovers of cooking Indian style food. It is a wonderful experience for visitors to see the tiny orchids of cardamom, the amorous coffee, cherries,juicy vanilla capsules, black pepper etc growing in the natural setting. It is a memorable and informative visit.

The Organic farm: Another interesting place within the Green Park is the organic farm which houses a fish pond, aquarium, synthetic paddy field and fruit processing unit among others. Visitors can also find many herbal plants grown in the farm which not only make their trip to this farm interesting but also a knowledgeable experience. Even if one is visiting with kids and children, they would love watching fish in the pond and aquarium.
