A beautiful sight you will see during your visit to the Guna Caves is the sight of dense tree roots growing quite abnormally. Between the Green Valley and Pillar Rocks, you will find a deep narrow valley. When you get inside, you will see tiny furrows which are not only deep but also pretty dark. And from outside, you can't see the furrows clearly because of the fog. Since it looks a bit scary, the place got the name 'Devil's Kitchen'. Travelers can spot bats, birds and other animals in the Guna Caves. So care must be taken while trekking through the caves. Many areas of the caves have recently been closed by grills because of accidents that have happened in the past.

A popular movie from the 90's, starring Kamal Hassan, was shot at these caves. The name of the movie was 'Guna'. Since then, the caves have been popularly known as Guna Caves. The Guna Caves have great significance in the Hindu epic Mahabharata as well. According to mythology, the Pandavas stayed in these caves.
