The Kolukkumalai Jeep Safari provides a complete adventure experience. You have to be ready for the extremely bumpy ride. The views from the top are simply mesmerizing; they make you forget the horrible roads. The weather is quite unpredictable. You might have to carry a sweater sometimes and at other times, a hat.

The Kolukkumalai Jeep Safari offers you a chance to explore Munnar in the most exciting way possible. The journey usually starts from your chosen departure point within Munnar town at around 8:00 AM, where you will be picked up by your jeep safari tour guide and taken by a 4-wheel jeep drive to the Kolukkumalai Tea Plantation. The journey takes approximately 90 minutes to cover a distance of 40 kms, 15Kms of which are on a rugged bumpy road through pristine hills and emerald mountains in the area.

The tea estate holds the record for being the highest tea estate in the world and produces amazing flavours of tea. Set amidst the backdrop of a magnificent mountain on the eastern slope of the Western Ghats, the estate makes for a scenic and inspirational view all around, which makes you forget the difficult ride. Usually a visit to one of the oldest tea factory is arranged where you can taste fresh tea, picked, processed and made on the spot. This is usually followed by a walking tour, where you can soak yourself in the most rejuvenating mountain air and the dramatic scenery. Treat your eyes to the pristine waters of some exotic waterfalls that add to the charm of this beautiful place.
