Travellers visiting Monkey Falls can take a bath here. The best time to visit Monkey falls is between the months of July and February. Visiting the falls during the day is better than in the evening. Monkey falls is about 65 km away from Coimbatore. It takes about one and a half hour to reach the falls from Coimbatore. The falls are very close to the main road. You just have to trek a little.

Monkey falls are pleasant natural waterfalls where travellers enjoy taking a bath. It’s very accessible to tourists because it is so close to the main road. Just a short trek is required. There is a beautiful trekking route through the forests that leads to the waterfalls. Guided treks can be organised if informed in advance. The falls get quite crowded during weekends and holidays. But it is a must-visit attraction on your way to Valparai.

Monkey falls are beautiful natural waterfalls located on the Pollachi-Valparai Rd, 65 km away from Coimbatore. The falls are surrounded by thick green forests and rocky cliffs. Just 6 km away from the falls is the Azhiyar Dam. There is a unique trekking route near the Monkey falls through the forest and guided treks can be organized on prior request but only in favourable seasons. Since the falls are very close to the main road, it attracts many travellers and has become a popular tourist spot. Both adults and kids can enjoy not just a scenic view but also a pleasant bath under the waterfalls.

As the name suggests, there are quite a few monkeys in the surrounding region. So you must be careful with your belongings. Although you can go right into the waterfalls, you must be a little cautious since the rocks can be slippery at some places and you may get injured. The place tends to get overcrowded during weekends. So weekdays are more preferable for a sightseeing visit. You will find fewer crowds early during the day. Travellers need to buy a ticket to enter the waterfalls. But tickets need to be taken before reaching the falls at the check post.
