Located in the district of Coorg in Karnataka, the Dubare Elephant Camp offers visitors a number of activities involving elephants. There are 10 cottages that serve as accommodation for visitors who would like to stay at the camp. There is a large gazebo which becomes the dining area. With a raw natural environment, the entire camp is designed in such a way that visitors have an up close and personal experience with elephants.

Visitors to the camp can watch elephants being given a scrub-bath. In fact, they can also have a part in bathing the elephant. You can also watch how the forehead and tusks of the elephants are oiled. You can feed sugarcane, bananas or coconuts to the elephants. Apart from feeding and bathing the elephants, visitors can watch how elephants are being trained by professional mahouts. 

During their tour of the camp, visitors are given a leaflet that features interesting facts about elephants. They are also accompanied by a naturalist who explains various aspects of elephant ecology. Visitors can also enjoy a ride on the elephants or simply walk along with them. River rafting is also possible at the camp.

*Timings - 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. (Elephants are usually visible only during this time)
You can enjoy boat rides, nature walks and jeep safaris during other times.
