With an altitude ranging from 467 m to 1572 m, Nelliyampathy is a serene and picturesque hill station located close to the Palakkad Town in Kerala. The hill station has spectacular view points, majestic mist-clad peaks and sprawling tea and coffee plantations. The road leading to Nelliyampathy has many hair pin bends that make the journey all the more interesting. Close to Nelliyampathy is a famous dam called Pothundy Dam. The catchment area of the dam is a great picnic spot. It offers facilities for boating as well.

The Nelliyampathy Hills are famous for their orange farms and tea estates. Tourists can visit these farms and get a glimpse of how bio-farming is done. The hill station offers wonderful opportunities for trekking. The magnificent view from the view points of the hill station makes the trek worthwhile.
