Poovar Beach is a serene and secluded beach located near the Neyyar river estuary in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. Since it is never overcrowded, the golden sand beach offers some spectacular views and is ideal for swimming and boating. The best time to visit the Poovar Beach is between the months of August and May. The beach is situated 19 km away from Kovalam. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the Poovar Beach from Kovalam. You need to take a boat ride to reach the beach.
